My mother's family, John Henry Butts and children, settled there MANY years ago in Morton and then filtered about in the county as they began having families. I would love to know more about them and the Butts family history in the area. I have most of the names and dates, but do not know about the people. While growing up I was only able to have little contact with them. They include, John Henry and Manetta May Butts; Millard Butts and Daisy Dell Edwards Butts; Clifford and Anna Butts; Sidney and Lorene Butts; Charlie and Dottie Burton, Glen and Margaret Butts Stiltner; George Gibbs and Grace Butts Stiltner; Robert and Frances Butts. Also my grandmother's family is there---Joseph Edwards and Nora Arlene (Oberner) Davis Edwards; Mark Floyd Davis and Adeline Simcock Davis. I know that there at least used to be a large group of descendants of Mark Floyd Davis in the Centralia/Chehalis area. Any help in learning more about this line of ancestors and/or finding this group would be greatly appreciated. Violet Hooker, my other grandmother now lives in Centralia after many years in Chehalis--in the forties (?) they had a chicken farm outside of Morton, I think near where the Butts family settled (Butts Hill). They were Lewis and Violet Hooker. My father lived there for a while also--Robert Leroy Hooker, in the mid to late forties---until my mother ran off with him to marry. Also her brother lived and died in Lewis County--mostly Randle; and many of his children and grandchildren are still in that region. He was Myron Oscar Hunter. My grandma just turned 100 the end of May. So, most of my roots run through Lewis county. Thank you for your help, stories, etc. Sharon in Provo
