Looking for any information of the Stinson, Workman, Thompson families of eastern Lewis County. The Stinsons and Workmans came to Lewis County in 1893 with the large contingent of people from VA and WVA. Most of them settled in the Riffe, Ajlune and Swofford Valley areas. I would really like to see a listing of those over 60 folks who migrated to Lewis County in 1893. Also our family tradition says that the Riffe Cemetery was originally called the Stinson Cemetery, as James Stinson donated the land for the Cemetery. Any idea if this tradition is correct?
