    3. Hi Chris Kerr, The last I knew of the Chehalis newspapers they were upstairs in the RR Historical Soc. place at the Old Train Depot there. I know because they were first at the Library there then moved to the RR Historical Place by the Tracks. I went looking for my grandmother's death notice but never found it up to 1906. Someone had to be there that could go upstairs to get them and bring them down to you. Several times I was there driving from Roy and no one was there that could go get the ones i need. So I still don't have it. The Death indexes for the state was later so didn't have anything. She is Sarah Jane Baldwin (Pumphrey being maiden )Name. She was reburried abt 1924 from Old Wm. I was told she wasn't in the Little Falls Cem. but I looked anyway and found her. But NO DATES at all on Stone. Just her name and Mother of James Smith. Another son is bur. close by, Wesley Smith. She was mar. 1st to a Peter Smith and he died abt 1885 then she mar. My GrFather Paden Cox Baldwin ( called Perry or Henry ) sometimes. Sorry abt the long message but if anyone out there finds her in Newspaper after 1904, I would thank them much. I don't know if they have been filmed or not. These were apparently Chehalis newspapers in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Does anyone know if these turn of the century newspapers are available on microfilm anywhere? > >Thanks, >Chris Kerr > >-------------------------------------------------------------- >Get free personalized email from GTE at http://www.gtemail.net > > >==== WALEWIS Mailing List ==== >.....So many people settled in Lewis County..... >Hundreds from the Appalachian Mountains to Eastern >Lewis County, many from the Midwest, How about yours? >
