I'm trying to find information about the family, surname STUDHALTER who were in Lewis county early 1900's. I know there was a family, father's name Lewis Studhalter, who settled in Bremer (8 miles west of Morton) in 1912. Were there any Studhalters in the area before then? Particularly in the Bremer/Cinebar area? I've been told my great grandmother was a Studhalter (or was previously married to a Studhalter) and she was in the area in 1900-01 when my grandfather was born.
