    3. but for some reason I can never get color to come out in the right>> John this may not be your trouble but change the format you are saving the pictures in, some scanned photos do not look good in some formats, try TIF, JPEG, BIT, if you can try them all. the only thing I can say is watch how much space they take up and if your going to e-mail them the smaller the better<BG> Now while I was writing, the photos that we have scanned into FTW look terrible until they are opened, blown up, small on the photo album the color all run together. We have two scanners, one Easy Photo, and one HP 3200C, if not saved in the correct format they look bad<BG> boyd in Astoria, Or-e-gun

    3. I guess my query was a little confusing she was Sara Jane McMurry when she died she was married to Jobe McMurry he died in 1899. Her maided name was Lester we thought for a long time that we was a Lester because my great grandad her son was Robert Lester McMurry. He was married to Delia Belle Doss, doughter of John Oliver Doss. I have no idea where they were married but I believe that my great grandad was born in Nebraska. ----- Original Message ----- From: Donna DeLeon <dldeleon@ix.netcom.com> To: <WALEWIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 05, 1999 1:14 PM Subject: Re: [WALEWIS-L] Marriage records > > > Tami Moorcroft wrote: > > > I have been searching with not much success for my great grandmother she is > > buried on the Klictat Cemetary in Mossyrock. 3. I have been searching with not much success for my great grandmother she is buried on the Klictat Cemetary in Mossyrock. She was Sarah Jane McMurry. I also found that she was a Lester as it was in some records of her sons. She was born in Nov 9, 1894 and died June 11, 1884 I dont know where she came from or who her parents are. I went to the train station in Chehalis and found a lot of my other relation but not her. The lady there said that there is a place in Olynmpia but I am not able to get there with my work during the week. If anyone is going I would be glad to pay for the info. ----- Original Message ----- From: Donna DeLeon <dldeleon@ix.netcom.com> To: <WALEWIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 04, 1999 9:50 PM Subject: Re: [WALEWIS-L] Marriage records > They can be found at the SW Archives in Olympia. 3. Hello all, The name Hopgood is a very, very old name from England. Here are the variations that I know of. Hobgood, Hapgood, Hogood, Haygood, (you get the idea). My brother (half) is a Hobgood. He has been interested in the surname for a very long time and since I'm a genealogist, I have kept my eye open for information on the Hobgood surname. Perhaps two years ago, the New England Historical and Gen Soc published in their journal a family history on the name. Look up Shadrack Hobgood (or it is some variation). It might have been 96, 97, or 98. I have other information, too, but I think I should give you my brother's email and you can write him. He can fill you in on what he knows (memory like a steel trap). He knows where a number of Hobgood researchers are. The other thing I can tell you is that the name is prolific in Kentucky. There are Hobgood cemeteries (2) and I believe there is a town by the same name. My brother can tell you all. Steve Hobgood Hobgood@meta-usa.com -------------- Andrea D. 3. I'm trying to find information about the family, surname STUDHALTER who were in Lewis county early 1900's. I know there was a family, father's name Lewis Studhalter, who settled in Bremer (8 miles west of Morton) in 1912. Were there any Studhalters in the area before then? Particularly in the Bremer/Cinebar area? I've been told my great grandmother was a Studhalter (or was previously married to a Studhalter) and she was in the area in 1900-01 when my grandfather was born. I'm also still looking for information on the Bremer family that the settlement was named for. Thanks for the help. Joyce Bremer Glover

    2. I can't tell you anything about your Studhalter family, except that I lived in Morton in 1930's and my father had a friend named "Stedahalter", I thought that was how he pronounced it?? I don't recall his 1st name now.
