Just got a copy of "Nowhere to Look but Up", did someone on the list say they wrote the section on the Ross family? I'm interested in information about Mrs. Leander Ross (Eliza Jane Shelton) and her family. Can you help? Joyce Glover
Donna Daisy ROBERTS ROSS was my Aunt. The article in "Nowhere but up" was written by her daughter, Melba Ross CHRISTIAN of Glenoma, my 1st cousin. Can I help you more? Rodney Veitschegger, Bowling Green, KY
Just a thank you to whoever passed the word along---I am currently in contact with the Althauser who has most of the family info and it is through this group that the info was passed along. Thanks much. This photos I have help flesh out the names. One word of advise to anyone with family photos---if they are faded to the point you are ready to throw them out as you can't see anything but shades of yellow---stop, get yourself to the nearest flatbed scanner and scan in grey mode. You will most likely be richly rewarded with a nice scanned copy of the original that you can then get a copy negative made from. My scanner paid for itself in just one days use compared to taking it to a studio where they would do the same thing at $70-150 per photo. ----------- Wilma Bland wpb52@olynet.com
Passing this on to the list...anyone going to Olympia or an FHC this week? This ladies name was Louise Rad(e)maker and was living at least in the 1920's! It's possible she died elsewhere. Thanks John From: <DonnerW@cs.com> > Dad was wondering where Louise was buried. Do you know if they have any data > bases for old cemeteries in Lewis County? > Thanks again, Donna

Hi List, If anyone runs across a marriage return for Samuel G. Homan/Holman and Augusta Somerville, I'd appreciate a copy. In the 1910 census it said they were married 4 years. So it could be anywhere between 1904-1907 Thanks, Sandie in Seattle

Where the Big Bottom Begins is on the early years of the Randle area as told by the relative and friends of people who lived here. There are lots of pictures and stories of the early years. Many families are represented here but there are some who should be mentioned and didnt have anyone to tell there story. But it is a very interesting book if you are interested in this area. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sharon Lee Anderson <sla23@email.byu.edu> To: <WALEWIS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 12, 1999 7:39 PM Subject: Re: [WALEWIS-L] Nowhere to look--Where the`Big Bottom Begins > What does the book "Where the Big Bottom Begins"?
