"DEATH OF AN ESTIMABLE YOUNG LADY "Miss Catherine Davis died at the home of Daniel S. Davis in Edwardsville yesterday morning at half past four, aged 23 years, 11 months, 23 days. Deceased came to this country from Wales about ten years ago. Her mother died shortly after coming to this country, leaving her an orphan, her father having died some years before. At the time of her mother's death she was adopted into the family of Daniel S. Davis, who was related to her. Deceased had been ailing for about three years, and about seven weeks ago her ailment took on an acute form and she was prostrated. ..."
