Davis died suddenly yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, John B., on Gaylord avenue, aged 84 years. Deceased has been in ill health for the past three years. Yesterday morning he was seized with a chill, from which, owing to his advanced age, he was not able to rally and passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family. Mr. Davis was born in Brenkenshire, South Wales, and lived there the greater part of his life. He is survived by three children, James B., general superintendent of the Plymouth Coal Co.; John B., inside foreman of No. 12 Dodson mine, and Mary A. The funeral will be announced later."
