Hi Everyone my name is Yvonne and I am researching my husbands side of the family I have been looking for the Jones family from Snowdonia with out much success I go to Winchester at least twice a month where they hold all the records for Hampshire and they have the records on fiche instead of book's for B.D.M my husbands mother is JOAN JONES born 27 march 1920 father Evan Morris Jones she had two other sisters Eva and Rosemary lived on a farm I think it was called Blackhill Farm ANY help would be much appreciated Regards Yvonne

    3. Hi Yvonne, You have the birth date of your mother-in-law and know the area so it should be quite easy to purchase a copy of her Birth Certificate from the relevant Registry Office. It will cost £6.50 plus a stamped addressed envelope. The certificate will give the name of her mother and her father and the place they lived. There are offices for Caernarvonshire at Aberconwy, Bangor, Caernarvon and Dwyfor which is in Pwllheli. It should be easy to get the phone numbers from Directory Enquiries. I have the address if you want them. I have found the Welsh Registrars of B.M.D. extremely helpful.. I don't know how far you are from Portsmouth or Aldershot as there are Family History Centres of the Latter-day Saints in those places. You would be able to look at Births, Marriages and Deaths on the films for the whole of the British Isles. I have the phone numbers if you want them as you have to make an appointment.
