Searching for parents of Robert Jones who was born 31 Dec 1789. He married in Wigan, Lancashire, England, on 5 Jan 1807 to Alice Birchall who was born 25 Apr 1788. Several of their children were bp at St. Peters, Liverpool. I was told many years ago, before I even thought of genealogy, that one of my g.g's was from Wales. Since Robert was the one to come to the USA, I'm thinking it may have been him. Isn't it possible for him to have been born in a part of Wales fairly near the England boarder?? I am mostly homebound due to severe lung disease requiring oxygen, so can't get out to search at a FHL. Any assistance or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Barbara Jones Pulley North Carolina, USA
