Searching for parents of Gladys Isaline Beresford b. May 12, 1885 in Wales. Her parents were Arthur De la Poar Beresford born about 1855 or so and died while working for the King of England as a purser in the Kings army. His wife was Sarah Deava VyPond, also spelled Vipond. But on their daughter Gladys SS application it's spelled VyPond. Gladys immigrated to USA somewhere around 1899-1905 to VA and married William M. Monroe II in 1907. My grandfather said his grandmother Gladys never lost her welsh accent and that she came from royalty. I asked my mother if Gladys had any siblings, but she did not know.
