"George Roberts of 46 Railroad street, Empire, passed away yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, aged 68 years, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Lewis. The remains will be buried in Hanover Green Cemetery on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. J.T. Lloyd, of the Welsh Baptist Church, will officiate. He is survived by six daughters: Mrs. David Lewis of the Empire; Mrs. Samuel Griths [Griffiths?], Mrs. John J. Jones and Mrs. William X. Williams, of Sugar Notch; Mrs. Thomas D. Williams, of Nanticoke and Mrs. John Hughes, of Edwardsville. He was a native of Merthyr Tydvil, Wales, and has been a resident of this country for fifteen years." Nancy Cook Pasadena, MD, USA
