I am new to the list and trying to find out if my grandfather THOMAS HERD b1888 in Wales or Northern Ireland story of being related to Billy Meredith is true or not. I know Thomas and his mother ELIZA HERD b1855 in Giggleswick, Yorkshire (she never married and I cannot find out his fathers name) lived in Wales for a while before moving to Belfast but don't know when.
