Hello Anne, I don't know if there would be any connection, as the line I'm looking for does not go that far back, but I have a Sarah BEVAN (daughter of Thomas BEVAN) married to a John EVANS 11 April 1873 in Sardis Chapel, Pontypridd. Their daughter Edith EVANS married Joseph Lewis REES (residence Whitchurch, son of William REES)13 July 1899 in Llantwit. Am looking for marriage or parents of Thomas BEVAN. Also looking for same information for William REES. Any help greatly appreciated. For years I've been trying to find his baptism. This is what I know: > > Married to Sarah JONES on 14th June 1793 > Son, David, baptized on 6th October 1793 > Daughter, Gwenllian, baptized on 19th January 1802 and buried on 19th April 1803 > Daughter Gwenllian, baptized on 25th December 1805 > Buried, aged 38, on 25th December 1805 > > All these events took place in the parish of Llywel. I have found no will. Apart from the parish registers, little seems to have survived for Llywel. > > Any thoughts you might have on tracing him will be welcome. If anyone has a connection with Llywel I will be happy to look for the family in 'Roots and Branches', a book about some of the local families. > > Yours sincerely, > Anne Vinnicombe (Mrs) > > > ==== WALES-GEN Mailing List ==== > C J Genealogical Collections > Web Page http://freespace.virgin.net/genealogical.collections > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >
