Hi, I am also researching my Lewis ancestors in Powys in Mid Wales. I have a David Lewis born in 1813 in Llanyre but I don't know if he married. Llanyre is near Llandrindod Wells so is probably in the old county of Radnorshire. David's parents were Lewis Lewis and Lydia Bowen and grandfather was Rees Simon Lewis who was brother to David Lewis my 4 x great grandfather. This Lewis family originated in Llanafan Fawr in north Breconshire which is south west of Llandrindod Wells. They were a very infamous family.
