"Thomas Samuel of Sheridan street died at 3 o'clock on Monday morning, after an illness of six weeks. "Deceased was born in Llanow, near Llanelly, South Wales, Nov. 13, 1845. He came to America 18 years ago, and since had been a resident of this city. "He leaves a widow and five children - John, Margaret, Elizabeth, Arthur and Elizabeth. Deceased was a member of the Puritan Church and had been janitor of the Meade street school for the past eight years. "Burial will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m., and Rev. E.J. Morris will officiate.
