    3. Sandra, I started my Waldrop ancestral research in 1963. My Waldrop family has held annual reunions since 1936. The members have always maintained contact and shared information. When I started my research I was given a list of my Waldrop family beginning with Ezekiel. I also had a partial list of his siblings but not the name of his parents. It took alot of research and assistance from other reseachers to garner the info that I needed. My Ezekiel was bc 1768 in Granville Co NC and he died c 1823 Buncombe Co NC (now Henderson Co). He was the eldest child of John Waldrop and 2nd wife Tabitha Parrish. He is named in his father's will. Read the sentence where he gave his "stock of horses to be divided among 5 of his 7 sons... after the death of their mother, Tabitha". He had 2 sons, Stephen and David, by his 1st wife, Millicent. Perhaps there is some info in the WALDRO-L archives that will help you on finding the parents of your Benjamin Waldrop. To my knowledge the name of Benjamin was never used in my Waldrop line. There were at least 2 other Ezekiel Waldrops that lived during the time that my Ezekiel lived (1768-1823). Regards, Bettye
