    3. I found this reference in a book called 'History of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Pg. 221. This is the same book that makes the reference to Sweetwater Primitive Baptist Church. I contacted tombstone hunters that checked the Sweetwater cemetery. I felt that Alsey may be there since the marriage record for Benjamin was one year after this church's founding but she was not there, although some stones were illegible. The cemetery at Bethlehem is a little more difficult because of highway construction, the church was move and I have had no luck in finding someone to do any cemetery lookups there. I do not have the burial place for Alsey or Benjamin and thought that maybe Alsey was in either Sweetwater or Bethlehem, Gwinnett Co, GA based on the marriage date of Benjamin in 1825 and the founding dates of the churches. I pretty much stopped at this point after contacting cousins (Hi Marshall, if you are out there) because I got busy with family and work, etc. but am still looking for answers to the Benjamin-Alsey-Rachel Griffin mystery. Thanks for any light you can shine.
