Does anyone have any information on this Joseph R. Waldrop . This was taken from Ancestry. Com . listed below . My great grandpapa Joseph R. Waldrop was ambushed and killed in Alabama in August 13, 1870. The census list April 1870. I am trying to separate these two Joseph R. Waldrop. Did this Arkansas Joseph R. Waldrop live after 1870. and was he related to the Green Berry Waldrop, or was mine? My JRW fits in like hand in glove. Most the families have accepted him. But I am still trying to look for that last connection. My JRW...was a Minister, Physician, KKK, Justice of the Peace, Ret. Merchant, and State Rep. of Washington County, Alabama. An article was written about him in the Mobile Register Newspaper , founded in the Columbus, Gerogia Columbus Ledger Enquirer, a death report from a jury, investigating his murder and mentioning his term as serving State Representative of Washington County 1869/1870. He had just finished a term, He served in Montgomery, Alabama under Gov. Smith. I know now, after Aug. 13, 1770 to rule out any Joseph Waldrops. My great grandpapa did live in Arkansas , Critten County when he was married to Sara Catherine Alexander....the same time he was married to Victoria K. Thomas of Martagorda, Texas. Son: Joseph Mark Henry Waldrop. His first wife was Nancy Heard of DeSoto Mississippi. Children: Georgia Ann Waldrop-Thornton and Stephen Franklin Waldrop. Sarah Baxter ,his last wife ,Sara Baxter Waldrop, two sons James Harry Waldrop, Joseph Ryan Waldrop, Jr. born April 1871, eight months after Joseph Ryan Waldrop's murder. Thanks for any help......Green Berry Waldrop line has been the only line we have been able to link my JRW with. I am always looking for that final connection. Thanks for any help. If not with my JRW...but ruling out other Joseph Ryan Waldrops. Green Berry Waldrop had a son Joseph Ryan Waldrop who was involved in a Duel and had to leave DeSoto County,Mississippi rather quickly. Thanks again. Sandra Waldrop Doolittle Here is what I found in Arkansas in Ancestery.com WALDROP, JOSEPH R.
