I just went to library here in the little town we've recently moved too... have all the indexes for SC up until 1850 and all NC census indexes... so maybe I'll have some luck with my Waldrops, they also were from NC via SC. I've copied the NC indexes and 1850 SC... so we'll see. My Waldrops are intermixed with the Hammonds, Capps (NC & SC) and Beckler (Germany) families. Becky
