    3. Yes he owned it. He had about 3000 acres I think, you can add it up. All of the foot notes are parcels that he owned at his death, listed in the box are the people that purchased the land after his death. THe year is the year in which Claibourne purchased or registered a deed. If you will also notice that there are only a 2-3 pieces that he owned prior to Mary's death. One of those peices is where the original Waldrop HOmeplce resides. We can prove that merely by the fact that he buried his wife in the family cemetery. So that would have to be land that he owned when his wife died. There is one parcel that has the San Miguel Bayou I think , and that is most likely where the home place was. But all the land was called Waldrop lands and still is today as far as I know. I have yet to find the cemetery, but I have not really given it my all in the search.
