To anyone descended from Andrew J. Waldrip: I was reading some GA Civil War data today and found this entry for him: Co K 14th Regt GA Volunteer Infantry Etowah Guards Andrew J. Waldrip entered as a private on 10 Aug 1861 He was wounded and captured at Spotsylvania, VA on 12 May, 1864. He was admitted to the USA General Hospital in Washington D. C. on 31 may, 1864. He died there as the result of the amputation of his left thigh 9 June 1864. He is buried at Arlington, VA. It was not clear to me whether they amputated his thigh on 9 Jan 1864 and/or that was the day he died. Regards, Bettye
