Sandra, some years ago, a man named Black wrote a book titled "The Surnames of Scotland", or "Surnames of Scotland". Waldrop, under various spellings, is in his book. I am not home so cannot look up the names. Most good libraries should have a copy. Lloyd wallyone@juno.com
