I am looking to hear from anyone concerning the names of Edelstain, Leonhardt or d'Ablaing or Dablaing in the Ellensburg, Kittitas Co., WA area. My husband's mother was Esther Henrietta Edelstain. She was born I believe in Ellensburg in March of 1910. She died in March of 1964 in Colorado Springs, CO. I have a mystery on my hands and am desparately trying to solve it. I know she is connected to the Leonhardt and d'Ablaing families. I believe that she might have had 2 brothers, Don who might have been a Dr. and Charles ? She spent alot of time in the Los Angeles, CA area. She was married to my husband's father Perry Maxon Foley, Sr. in the late 1930's in LA. He died in 1946. My husband Perry, Jr. was born in 1939. She remarried a Willis A. Garner in 1949. I believe that she might have been married to a guy named Frank before she married Mr. Foley. Frank's last name is unknown as well as date unknown. She only had the one child, my husband by Mr. Foley. She and Mr. Garner and my husband visited a family of Leonhardt's in the middle 1950's. The Leonhardt's lived on the American River in Coloma, Placer Co., CA. He doesn't remember who they were. He believes they were cousins. During the 22 years that my husband lived with his mother and stepfather, she never talked about her siblings, her parents or any of her people. He never met any of them. They moved all over the country on doing jobs. I believe my husband said last night that he was in 38 states by the time he was 19. He was born in CA. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!
