I'm sure that others will be more knowledgeable about the history of Easton, Kittitas Co, WA than am I, but I can say that the small community is located just off of Interstate 90 along the Yakima River near the point where Kachess Lake drains into the river. Easton is situated about 12-15 miles west of Cle Elum. With all the cross-state recreational traffic today, the community is currently recognized as the gateway to Lake Easton State Park.
