    1. New Lister needing advice!
    2. Caroline Mannix
    3. Hi Listers, This is my first attempt at US research and I am hoping that you will be able to advise me please! I have a death reg for Raymond ALDRIDGE for 1916 in Ellensburg. It says that he was buried in 100F cemetery. The odd thing about the death reg is that even though he went to the USA via Canada with his father in 1913, there are no details of parents, dob etc and the cause of death is "accidental drowning". It states that he was a laborer, teamster. I would like to find out whether there are more details at the cemetery, why more details weren't included in the death reg and anything else that I can find out really as family stories hint that he could have been murdered. What makes it more interesting is that his uncle "accidentally drowned" in Okanagan Lake" in BC Canada in 1922!! If anyone has any ideas how I could start my research into this or could maybe suggest some other mailing lists that would be suitable, I would love to hear from them. I have already searched Cle Elum 1900 (where I found David living in a boardinghouse working as a blacksmith) and Roslyn, but was hoping to narrow Roza down enough to not have to search the entire county. Also known to be in the area of Roslyn was their daugher Eliza WHITEHOUSE b: Abt. 1877 in IL married date not known but believed to have occurred in Kittitas Co to James SAMPLE b: Abt. 1872 in OH. Their first child, Patience Sample b: 25 Feb 1894 in Roslyn, Kittitas, WA. Other Whitehouse family members (these folks were miners--DUH...wasn't everyone...but for generations were coal miners so I don't know if they were seeking gold and ended up digging coal again or WHY they ended up in Washington) found in the area are: Benjamin and Patience nephew Simeon WHITEHOUSE (his father's name was also Simeon Whitehouse and he too may have been in the area) b: 22 Mar 1866 in Kewanee, Henry, IL married Pemlary BOOTH b: 26 Oct 1871 in PA d: 24 Jul 1895 in WA Burial: Old Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Roslyn, Kittitas, WA (with Mary and Thomas Booth whom I think are her parents) and their son who died at age 4, Elmer Whitehouse b: Abt. 1893 in Roslyn, Kittitas, WA d: 10 Dec 1897 in Roslyn, Kittitas, WA. Pemlary Booth WHITEHOUSE is the only Whitehouse listed as buried at this cemetery. Amos WHITEHOUSE, aged 20, male, single, died 4 Sep. 1895 in Cle Elum of typhoid fever. Born in IL. and a farmer. Parents were Isaiah Whitehouse born in England and Marion (Davis) born in Wales. Residence Cle Elum. This is another nephew of Benjamin Whitehouse, and it is believed that his father Isaiah may have also been in the area of King or Kittitas Co. though Marian Davis Whitehouse died in Kewanee IL in 1906. I have searched a good portion of the 1900 census of Kittitas Co for these folks and have come up empty handed (at least in Cle Elum and Roslyn and the other parts I have looked at so far). I did find one Whitehouse in Cle Elum whom I think MAY be connected to this family but I don't know HOW, a David Whitehouse, born May 1877 in IL, father born IL mother born PA, a blacksmith. He was single and living in a boarding house but the name of the person running it was illegible. Note that some or all of these people may have been affiliated with the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints (RLDS). I have a list from 1889 for King County of Whitehouse who were listed in the Polk Directory for Seattle as being King Co residents (rather than Seattle residents) but do not have access to the directory to see if it gives further information. It contains the following names, most of which I recognize and some of whom appear to have moved over to Kittitas by the 1890's . On the list are the following names (in case someone actually has access to the 1889 Polk City Directory of Seattle and King Co and wants to be REAL nice...) ALL are listed as miners: Benjamin Whitehouse George Whitehouse Isaiah Whitehouse J.E. Whitehouse Simeon Whitehouse Simeon B. Whitehouse (this is the one I believe is married to Booth) Thomas Whitehouse Joseph Whitehouse Samuel Whitehouse Thomas Whitehouse There was also a branch of this same family in the area of Enumclaw, King Co, and with the common names I'm not sure who is whose... Anyone recognize ANY of these folks who can provide further info would be GREATLY appreciated. --=======FA444FD======= Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-avg=cert; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-565C6407 Content-Disposition: inline --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 2. Judy Cockrell
    3. i am able to access the driving records in texas, florida, iowa, idaho, minnesota, mississippi, ohio and wisconsin. if you have possible LIVING family in these areas> read on. these are the rules: you must be looking for a "living relative" i MUST have a complete name (first and last) and if you can furnish a dob, even the better. a middle name or initial will help as well. PLEASE send me proper spelling of these names, i increases your chances to find someone. if you have been looking for a lost relative, or a contact to write to in these states, send it on to me. this is just a small chance for me to say thanks for all the help you have given me on the washington lists. and please, you must follow "the rules" i am charged for every lookup, so be kind, and play smart. good luck! judy Judy Sander Cockrell http://www.genealogytoday.com/columns/leaves/
