Williams Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Williams, 73 years old, who died yesterday at her home, 108 œ 12th Avenue North, after residing in Seattle sixteen years, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Bonney-Watson Chapel. She was the mother of Floyd H. Williams, real estate agent for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad and of Ralph H. Williams, a West Seattle grocer. Mrs. Williams came to Seattle from Greenville, Tennessee. ========== The Seattle Times Saturday, March 12, 1949 Page 4, Column 3 Floyd H. Williams Floyd H. Williams, former Seattle resident and one-time tax commissioner for the Milwaukee Road, died March 3 in Coral Gables, Florida, it was learned here today. Mr. Williams came to Seattle in 1906 as a young lawyer. That year he began his career with the Milwaukee in the right of way and tax department. Later he was put in charge of the tax matters of the company in the Western states, with headquarters in Seattle. In February 1942, he was transferred to Chicago as tax commissioner for the entire system. He retired in 1948. Surviving are his widow, Florence M. Williams, Miami, Florida; two sons, Clement DeHaven Williams, Miami and Robert H. William, Coral Gables and two grandchildren.
