Dow, Customs Broker, Dies Suddenly Frank P. Dow, veteran Seattle customs broker and founder of the Frank P. Dow Company, died suddenly at his home yesterday morning after an illness of several months. He was 73 years old and had been retired from business since last August. Since then Robert A. White, President, has been in active charge of the business. Mr. Dow's firm was one of the largest customs brokerage houses on the Pacific Coast and had many notable accounts. He imported a great quantity of porcelain and represented several large eastern importers, including the F.W. Woolworth Company. He also had extensive fish cannery interests. Mr. Dow was born at Lawrence, Massachusetts, in 1859. He came to Seattle in 1889 from New England. Mr. Dow is survived only by his widow, Mrs. Anna M. Dow, 627 36th Avenue North, who was at his bedside when death came. He was a member of the Rotary and Artic Clubs and was also consul for Costa Rica. The funeral services will be held tomorrow at the Church of the Epiphany at 35th Avenue and East Denny Way at 11 o'clock. ***** The Seattle Times Sunday, July 2, 1933 Dow. 627 36th Avenue North, July 1, Frank Prescott Dow, beloved husband of Anna M.
