McDougall. Bertha passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008, at the age of 95. She was born in Miles City, Montana to Edwin and Anna Dunham on Easter Sunday, March 23, 1913. In the early 1920's she moved west by covered wagon with her family of one sister and five brothers to Oregon and then on to Covington, Washington. She graduated from Meridian High School, east of Kent. Bertha was married to Frank McDougall for nearly 60 years prior to his passing in 1995. She raised two sons, Gerry (Betsy) and Joe (Arlene). She had six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother, Alexander Dunham. Bertha lived in South King County for most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and gardening. She was an accomplished seamstress and was always willing and eager to help others with their sewing projects. She also helped to run the family logging business. She was a long-term and valued member of both the Black Diamond a! nd Enumclaw Chapters of Eastern Star and Daughter's of the Nile, Havisu Temple No. 1. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held Sunday, January 18, 2009, 1PM, at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel in Kent.
