Brown, 3/18/1905 - 4/19/1995 Coy was born in West Virginia and moved to Washington at age 5. He grew up in Montesano and lived in most of the surrounding small towns once out of high school. At age 25, he married Ruth. Sometime later they settled in Tacoma, where Coy worked for Standard Oil, Pacific Fruit and later the Masonic Temple. Coy had two favorite organizations he belonged to, the Knights of Pythias, Commencement Lodge #2 of which he was Past Grand Chancellor and the Masons Fairweather Lodge #82 which he was Past Master. In late 1994, Ruth and Coy moved to the Masonic Retirement Home in Des Moines where Ruth still lives. He is survived by wife, Ruth; daughter, Arlene; son, John; sister, Virgie; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Pop, Dad, Grampa or Great-Grampa, however we knew him, he will always be in our memories for his poems, songs, lovingness, consideration, sense of humor and just doing the best he could. A memorial service will be held at the Masonic Home, 23660 Marine View Driv! e South, Des Moines, Wednesday, the 26th at 2PM.
