Hodgman of Tacoma, was married recently to Chief Petty Officer George Clifton Bate, United States Naval Reserves, at a ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kitching. For her marriage the bride chose a gown of gardenia white satin, made on princess lines and fingertip veil caught to a halo of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of orchids, white carnations and freesias. She was given in marriage by her stepfather, Mr. Hodgman. Mrs. J.T. Sagora, wearing blue satin and carrying pink carnations was her sister's matron of honor. Miss Eleanor Klasner, in pink net and carrying roses and freesias was bridesmaid. Mr. J.D. Bates of Richmond, California, was his brother's best man. The Rev. L.G. Randal officiated. Reception assistants were the Mesdames Anna McLean, Arletta Bargar, Walter Kitching, Allan Haney, Arnold C.
