Marshall The owner of Jack and Jil Pictures in Portland from 1958 to 1971, Jack Terral Marshall, died in a Seattle hospital December 29. Mr. Marshall, who was 62, lived in Hoodsport, Washington, before his death. He was a member of the Lake Oswego Elks Lodge and the Oregon City Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. He grew up in Everett and served with the United States Navy in World War II where he photographed the rescue of Eddie Rickenbacker. After attending Wheelen School of Photography in San Francisco, he joined the Salt Lake City Telegram as a photo reporter. Mr. Marshall was Sales Manager for Seattle Art and Photo before moving to Portland in 1958 to manage Jack and Jil Pictures. Funeral will be Saturday at 2PM at Unity Center in Seattle. Interment was by cremation. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Hoodsport; a son, Michael V. Marshall, Rhododendron, Oregon; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Maltais, Hoquiam, Washington, Mrs. Terri Buchanan, Silver Springs, Maryland and Kimberlee A. Marshall, Renton, Washington; a brother, L.S. Marshall, Hoodsport; his mother, Phan Marshall, Everett, Washington; two grandsons and one great-grandson. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
