He was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the G.A.R. The body was removed to the parlors of Butterworth & Sons. Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed on account of the illness of his aged wife, who may die at any moment. The Seattle Daily Times Tuesday, June 16, 1925 Funeral Services For Mrs. Susan Clark Today Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Clark, 81 years old, who died Sunday morning, were to be held at 2 o'clock today at the W.S. Mayfield Mortuary, 2014 Market Street, Ballard. The Rev. J.H. Berringer of the Gilman Park Methodist Church was to conduct services. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Clark was born in Tennessee in 1844 and was married to Thomas Clark, a veteran of the Civil War, in 1865. She had been a resident of Washington for thirty-seven years and had lived in Seattle for thirty-five years. Mrs. Clark was a charter member of McKinley Circle, Ladies of the G.A.R., Union Dames of the Civil War and the Elderbloom Club. She was active in all these organizations until her death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry Winsor of Seattle and Mrs. Edgar M. Keller of Los Angeles; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith of Seattle and Mrs. James Pendergrass of Arkansas and a brother, David Adams of Spokane.
