He was born in 1855 at Washington, Pa., graduated from Washington College in 1875 and commenced the study of law. After reading one year, he entered Harvard Law School, graduating in 1878 and was admitted that year to bars of Washington (Pa.) and Allegheny counties. Listed as "partner with his brother [D.T. (David Thompson) Watson] in law business, in Pittsburgh" in Beers, 1893 [page 221], and as "a Seattle lawyer" in 1909 and 1916. He married Sarah McKnight, daughter of William McKnight (a prominent iron merchant of Pittsburgh), in 1855, and had two children: Maria Morgan Watson (listed at Seattle in 1909) who married Homer Hill of Hollywood, Cal., and Ormsby Morgan Watson (also listed at Seattle in 1909). William Morgan Watson, Esq., was the 8th child of of Maria Woodbridge Morgan (b. July 13, 1814 at "Morganza," d. March 5, 1909, at Washington, Pa., buried March 6, 1909, at Washington County Cemetery) who married (January 15, 1835) James Watson, Esq., of Washington County (born 1809 at Canonsburg, Pa., died April 15, 1875, buried April 18, 1875, at Washington County Cemetery, Washington, Pa. Mrs. Maria Woodbridge (Morgan) Watson was the daughter of George Morgan Jr. (1780-1829) and Elizabeth Aldrich Thompson (1788-1863), both buried at Washington County Cemetery, Washington, Pa., and was the last surviving grandchild of Col. George Morgan (1743-1810) and Mary Baynton (1749-1825). I hope this is helpful. I have a great deal more information about the Morgan Family, and a copy of Mrs. Maria Woodbridge (Morgan) Watson's lovely obituary. All this with best wishes to you from a descendant of Col. George Morgan, John Alexander Craig
