    1. Re: Obit: Belle Friedlein Seattle, Wash Papers from 1942?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/pBC.2ACE/4064.1 Message Board Post: The Suzzallo Library at the University of Washington campus in Seattle has extensive microfilm files of not only the Seattle newspapers even further back that the date you seek, but also of many newspapers from all over the U.S. I live over an hour away from there, so it's not convenient for me to get to Seattle very often for research. Also, the parking is costly and located in the U District, since on street parking is almost never available, and is quite a hike onto the campus to the library. If you don't locate a volunteer to go there and look it up for you, you might try contacting the library and seeing what the cost is to have it done by them for you.

    1. Albert Van Sant
    2. I have finally found a census with Albert Van Sant living with his parents and another story gone down the drain. Sorry, but I'm beginning to think that about half of what I was told about my family was a good deal fairy stories. Albert was adopted-not by a lawyer but Thomas G. Van Sant, a Decorator. They were in the 1920 Washington census. It is listed as 7 Ward-Seattle, but in trying to find the address, the closest I could come to Gift Street or Lane was Giltner Lane in Edmond, Washington. The cross street address confirms it is possible. Albert's birthdate DOES match the birthdate for Lena Kobelt's brother, but the birth records so far on Ancestry don't include the year he was born If anyone can tell me more about this family or if this is the correct address, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Pat Morano
