Gordon Donald Boyles, passed away December 11, 2005, in Edmonds, Washington. He was born in Spokane, Washington, on June 14, 1917. Gordon retired from General Electric in 1980. His wife of 50 years, Ruth, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; children, Cynthia Karls, Steven Boyles, Douglas Boyles, Rosemary Pohl, Edward Boyles, and their spouses; eight grand-children and four great-grand-children; one sister, Marcia Kenworthy; and step-children, Jeanne Miller, Laurie Lohrer, and Diane Brodd. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., January 7, 2006, at Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 19523 84th Avenue West, Edmonds. Marion Virginia Olson. Marion Virgina Olson died January 1, 2006. In Uniform: Mill Creek/Bothell Air Force Airman Brian J. Bianco has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Bianco, son of Marjorie Bianco of Bothell, is a 2003 graduate of Bothell High School, and received an associate degree in 2005 from Cascadia Community College, also in Bothel. Anniversary: Thomas E. and Doris Belt will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary January 12, 2006. They were married January 12, 1946 in Atlantic City, N.J. Tom and Doris met at a USO dance in Atlantic City, where Doris lived. Tom served as a First Class Radioman in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was on the Corcorali Liberty ship in the South Pacific for three years during World War II. Tom and Doris were married two weeks before Tom was discharged from the service. Tom and Doris returned to the Pacific Northwest, where Tom was from, so he could complete his college education at the University of Washington. Tom and Doris have lived in Edmonds for 50 years where they have owned B&M Contractors and Belt Homes. The Belts have three children: Barbara and husband Dan Lloyd; Thomas R. Belt; and Diana and husband Rene VanLoveren; and two granddaughters: Angie and Kari Lloyd. Their children will be taking them to the Space Needle restaurant for an anniversary celebration.
