We are looking for suggestions to access those cards for his registration. The surname was spelled variously as Fraczyk and Frawszyk, and his given name as John. "Jan Furczyk" registered for the WWI draft at age 39 in Seattle on a Thursday in 1918 (the rest of the date stamp is too light to read). He was born December 4, 1879, a citizen of "Austria," and his nearest relative was Jennie Furczyk. The address appears to be "632 Emerson St," Seattle. Under the surname spelling of "Furzik," the 1920 US Census, T625-1926, sheet 5B (page 3801), ED 134, 69th Precinct, shows at that address: Furzik, John J, head, M, W, 40, Marr, (arrived US in 1904, "Pa" which should mean naturalization papers have been submitted, but it also lists year of naturalization as 1914), born in Austria, occupation machinist for railroad Furzik, Jennie S, wife, F, W, 30, Marr, (arrived 1911, "Al"), born in Russia Furzik, Jean S, daughter, F, W, 5, Single, born in Washington Furzik, Emma W, daughter, F, W, 3, Single, born in Washington Images found on Ancestry.com.
