You should first look in the WA death index (our local library has it) to try to find a date of death, then you can scan the Seattle newspapers on microfilm (probably at the major libraries) for the obit. However, I'm copying a post on this mailing list which tells what the Seattle Genealogical Society can do to help with lookups. Another possibility for lookups might be http://raogk.com, where great volunteers around the country can help in their respective areas. Good luck to you, Kathy "This may help you out--one of the services we provide at the Seattle Genealogical Society is a research service, mostly used for death index lookups, obituary lookups, and city directory lookups. I have included the URL for the guidelines for this service. It sounds a bit wordy when you read it, but we will look up these and other things as described in the guidelines, for a nonrefundable $10 donation and a SASE. We would be more than happy to do some research for you! Here is the URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~waseags/research.html I hope this helps! I look froward to helping you!
