Grace Marie Becker, 82, loving and beloved mother of Lawrence, Randall and Steven, ascended to heaven on November 20, 2005. Grace was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 7, 1923, the daughter of Lawrence and Helen Blackwell. She passed away peacefully at home with her two sons at her side. Grace's poise and good looks led her to Zell McConnell School of Modeling in her late teens in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After modeling there and in Chicago, Illinois, she attended Northwest Airlines School of Stewardesses and flew for Northwest out of Chicago, spending her off-flight hours as a public relations representative for the airline. She met her former husband, Frank Becker, while flying. She fell in love when transferred to Seattle, Washington, where they were married in 1953, and moved to Mercer Island, Washington. After having three sons and building a house on Lake Sammamish, Grace, her husband, and boys, traveled to American Samoa, where they lived f! or two years. Then it was on to Southeast Asia, to the County of Laos in 1965, during the Vietnam war. During her travels, she enjoyed vacationing and R&R's throughout the South Pacific Islands, Southwest and Southeast Asia before returning to the United States in 1969. Grace's home in Richmond Beach/Shoreline, Washington, was always tastefully furnished with exotic works of art, furniture, and fixtures which she acquired during her extensive travels. She later brought her contagious smile, elegant manner, and love for people to fashion retail with The Bon Marche, and finally as a top producing salesperson in "Around the World Collectibles" with Frederick & Nelson, retiring in 1993. Grace visited her sisters in southern California whenever possible, and she loved spending time with her sons on their weekend trips to Lake Chelan, Washington, and during the holidays. She is survived by her sons Randall, of Shoreline, Steven, of Issaquah, Washington; and her older sister! , Joyce Pollock of Santee, California. Grace was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence; former husband, Frank; and her two sisters, Jane Ressler, of Spencer, Iowa, and Marge Oliver, of Rancho Bernardo, California. A memorial was held at 4 p.m., December 8, 2005, at Unity Church in Lynnwood, 16727 Alderwood Mall Parkway. Obituary: Nicole Marie Gonzales. Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, Nicole Marie Gonzales, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005, at the age of 39, to join her mother, Susan Suhadolnik. Nicole was born February 15, 1966, in Edmonds, Washington, at Stevens Hospital. She spent her life in Lake Forest Park, Washington, where she raised her two daughters. Nicole is survived by her husband of 18 years, Robert Gonzales, Jr.; her two daughters, Chinae' and Chelsea Gonzales. She also leaves her father, Dr. Nicholas (Marilyn) Suhadolnik Sr.; her grandmother Arletta Wilson; sister, Sara (Ian Thompson) Suhadolnik; her brothers, Jeff (Tina) Suhadolnik, and Nicholas Suhadolnik Jr; aunts, Nancy Chulz, Wendy Granrath, and Kass Wilson, and her uncle, Kevin Wilson; mother-in-law Emma Cooper; father-in-law, Robert Gonzales Sr.; sister-in-law, Auide Woodward, and brother-in-law, George Cooper; as well as two very much loved nieces, Selene Suhadolnik, and Tessa Thomp! son; and her six nephews, Zachary, Nicholas, David, Elijah, and Ara Suhadolnik, and Samuel Thompson. Nicole's courage through her twelve-year journey was an inspiration to many. We were truly blessed to enjoy the time God gave her to us. Nicole you wll be truly missed and never forgotten. A Rosary/Vigil Service will be held at 10 a.m., today, Friday, December 9, 2005; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., both at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 18033 - 15th Avenue N.E., Shoreline, Washington. Bentley. Donald R. Bentley passed away on December 4, 2005, at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, Washington. Don was born on October 3, 1925, in Lamont, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Ruby Bentley. He married his wife, Glorine, on August 22, 1967, in Whitefish, Montana. He worked in the mobile home industry in Edmonds for many years. After retiring, he took up golf, which gave him some great friends and many hours of fun and frustration. Don was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Don is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Glorine; children, Donita Bentley, of Everett, Rita (Curtis) Pritchard, of Alderwood Manor, Washington, Terry (Lori) Bentley, and Barbara (Robert) Ervin, all of Spokane, Washington; stepsons, Roger (Kathy) Brownlee, of Bellevue, Washington, and Randy Brownlee, of Austin, Texas; sisters, Phyllis Sanders, of Lacy, Washington, and Maxine Scott, of Kansas City, Kansas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons. The family w! ishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Stevens Hospital who took such great care of him. At his request, there will be no services.
