Damon, 910 Fifth Street, on the evening of December 6th, witnessed the ceremony of marriage between Captain William E. Baker of the Puget Mill Company’s steamer Yakima, and Miss Clara B. Monagin, late of Columbia Falls, in the State of Maine. Captain Baker has been steamboating for the Washington and Puget Mill Companies for the past ten years, and many a nauticus will envy his good taste and fortune in the selection of a mate. The bride has sojourned at Port Gamble but a brief period, coming out to wed one already affianced, yet her friends are many and appreciative. Her frost bound acquaintances in the old Eastern home may well be surprised when they read that the bride was presented with and wore a half-blown glory de Dijon, a Reine Marie Henrietta and a La France rose just plucked from the open garden. Captain and Mrs. Baker returned last night to Port Gamble, where they will r! eside.
