Helen Adelaide Linne March 31, 1916 - December 7, 1925. Alumnae Notes Ellen Messer (Mrs. Lacy Hofius) '21 has a son, born last May. Mary Sherman, '21, now a Junior at Bryn Mawr, is going to Europe next summer. Among the Saint Nicholas Alumnae of the class of 1922 who are graduating from the University of Washington this year are: Betty Young, Virginia Albin, and Margaret Helliesen. Betty Young, ' 22, has announced her engagement to John Scrafford Mauk of Toledo, Ohio. Eleanor Beckett, '23, Margaret Latimer, '23, Helen Clare Nelson, '24, are attending the University of Washington. Florence Sweeney, '24, and Marie Elizabeth Greer, now Sophomores at Smith College, have been chosen to spend their Junior year a t the Sorbonne. Grace Gierin, '24, is a t Oregon Agricultural College this year. Catherine Deyette, '25, spent the winter at school in a villa near Florence. Marian McGrath, '25, is our first post-graduate at Saint Nicholas. Although Florence Fischer is said to have thrived at the Castilleja School this year, word has been received that she is returning to Saint Nicholas next fall. Will scan photos upon request.
