My 3rd great aunt is listed as living in Gate Washington on the 1900 census & again in her brothers obituary in 1901. I can't locate Gate on any map that is available to me. Does anyone know where it is or was, if it no longer exists . Appreciate any information that might point me in the right direction. Joanne , Salem, Oregon

After a little more investigating I found that Gate ( originally Gate City) is in Thurston Co, Washington. It's located on Highway 12 between Centralia & Oakville.
