    2. That is exactly what happened to me when I tried to take advantage of this special free no strings attacted offter from a different vendor that didn't at first appear to be Ancestry. I have NEVER subscribed to Ancestry. One is suspicious. They said they would send me information on how to get an account. I think it will probably be a regular Ancestry account. Or that by the time it comes to me the 3 days will have run out. There is no such thing as a free lunch (or kitten). Doris -- Lady10237@aol.com wrote: A bit odd.... 2. Doris, It's really free. The only "catch" that I've found aver a day or so of searching is that there is a box that comes on the screen occasionally asking if you want to subscribe. I tell it no and it goes away. I had to give my name and email. In my case, I post to the rootsweb boards so when I tried to select a different password than I use with Rootsweb, it told me my email address was already in use. I used my rootsweb password - and it took it just fine. No one's called me at home or charged my credit card. I'm sure you can find this offer on several sites that are not owned by Ancestry. They are just participating in and promotion Ancestry's 3 days for free. Since I first saw this on the site below - which I visit quite often looking for old photos of my family. I found photos of several ancestors there. I sent the page where I saw from this on site. -----Original Message----- From: doriswaggoner@juno.com <doriswaggoner@juno.com> To: WAKING-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sat, 24 Jun 2006 18:45:39 GMT Subject: Re: Ancestry's free trial That is exactly what happened to me when I tried to take advantage of this special free no strings attacted offter from a different vendor that didn't at first appear to be Ancestry.
