Surnames: HIRLINGER, GRAHAM Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/pBC.2ACE/3864 Message Board Post: John Hirlinger lived at 419 James Street in Seattle in the 1900 census, along with his partner Frank A. Graham. They were both hostlers at a stable in 1900. Is there a way to have someone look in city directories between 1900-1910 to see if either or both could be found. Neither is in the 1910 or subsequent censuses, and I would like to know when John left Seattle. His death is not recorded on any death index. I know that Houston, TX city directories in that time frame have listings for individual by name and also streets were listed alphabetically and by house number. Thank you.

Snider, a daughter, Lulu M. Snider, a daughter, Bonnie or Boney B Snider, a son Lester Leland Snider, and a son named Lesley Lenard or Leonard Snider, they were on the 1900 census for both King and Kittitas County Washington and since these counties border one another I believe they were enumerated twice because they likely lived on the border of these counties, this happens it is my Great Grandfathers family who was John N Snider, John Nelson Snider.

    2. JeanPayton
    3. I now have some more info on Henry Payton. State of Washington just faxed me his death record. Thank you , Thank you. But I would like to know if someone can do look ups in the City Directories for Seattle. Henry Payton lived at 2516 Third Avenue. just blocks from Elliot Bay at Wall Street. I would like to know if there are were other PAYTONS living in the area at the same time. Also what Flour Mill was in business in 1955? Is it still in business? I am not only looking for Henry Payton but he also had two brothers who were older than he was. Their names were Charles D. PAYTON and he was married to Beatrice House. His other brother was Albert James PAYTON. I do not know who he married. What Newspapers would have carried his obituary? I know that someone gave info on Henry's death such as his parents names and I was told by the Willamette National Cemetery that a sister-in-law gave info other than the VA Hospital but they would not tell me what that info was and or the name of the sister-in-law. The name of the funeral home that handled his remains was called Ploeger Funeral Home in which Milton E. Ploeger owned which was at 5279 Rainier Avenue Seattle, Washington. His SS number was 536-09-2884. He was a cook in the U.S. Army during world War I. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. 3. Dear List Members: I am new to the list and I am hoping that someone can be of help to me. I am researching my husbands side of the family and we have been researching and looking for his uncles for almost twetny years. Well I got a few good clues this past month and today I got I hope a reliable clue from a Furneral Home in Portland, Oregon telling me where my husbands' uncle died. Here is the info I have: Henry Harold PAYTON b. May 02, 1892 Massey., Sudbury Co., Ontario Canada son of James and Mary (Bisson) Payton. His date of death is October 24, 1955 and supposedly he was in the Veterans hospital in Seattle when he died. Henry registered for the World War I draft June 1917. He served in the Army from March 29, 1918 to May 24, 1918. He was a cook in the Army. In 1920 I found him working is Virginia, St. Louis Co., MN on the railroad. Then I found his registration draft card. It also stated that he died October 24, 1955 and was buried November 1, 1955 in Williamette National Cemetery in Portland , Oregon. Today I found out the name of the funeral home that handled his burial and the only info they have is that he died in the VA Hospital in Seattle. I have tried getting a death record but to no avail. I also know he had a Social Security number but since his death wasn't reported to Social Security I need a death record to get his info from them. I would like someone to do a look up for me such as the death record or perhaps the VA records for his hopsitalization. If someone can be of help to me I greatly appreciate it. My husband and I are going to be going on a camping trip to Alaska July 13, 2005. We are leaving Michigan with our first stop to be in Mackinaw, Michigan and then we will be heading west to Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Canada, the Yukon and Northwest Territories and then on to Alaska. After that we will be coming back down through British Columbia to Washington and then onto Portland Oregon to the Williamette National Cemetery. Is there someone willing to help me? Thank you in advance for any and all help. Jean Payton
