California, Kansas and Washington: William E. Guerin b. 28 Mar 1847 b. Reynoldsburg, Franklin Co., Ohio married Marth E. Reynolds, m. date unknown. (she is thought to be from Delaware Co., Ohio. ) moved out west to Kansas, first. then to Washington, and then on to California had three children: William, Jr., Reynolds and Jessie (thought to have two daughters, twin of Jessie named Bessie and Helen???) all three sons were born in Kansas. Reynolds moved to Seattle and had a large family. Known children are: Reynolds, Jr., William, Harriet (??), Miller, and Helen. Would like to connect the family up with the Ohio connection. any help you can give will greatly be appreciated. thanks! Dee

I was thrilled to see in the posting that one of you has a picture of Harry Falt. If you still have that picture would it be possible to get a copy. I would be very happy to pay for that. Harry was born Harry Byron Falt May 4, 1895 the son of Athol and Lillian Falt nee Gierman. He was born Port Blakely Washington but lived it appears by the census most of his life in Seatle where he also died in 1967. Harrys' gt gt Grandfather disapeard from NS some time after 1881 and ended up in Washington. For many years the family where trying to locate his whearabouts and I managed to find him in Washington in 1900 . Kindest regard Liz

Rice and C. Schen were committed to the insane asylum by Judge Osborn yesterday. C. H. Rice is a young man with several aliases and has been known by the names of Praegor and Cator. He is the burglar who entered Lynch’s furniture store last month, but was foiled in his felonious designs by falling down an elevator shaft, from which his sustained serious injures which have probably affected his mind. He was found on the morning after the fall in an unconscious condition and taken to the hospital. Several days ago Rice manifested various signs of insanity, and, while at first they were believed to be feigned for the purpose of escaping the penitentiary, it was soon proven that the man’s mind was really deranged, and he will be sent to the asylum at Steilacoom for treatment. Schen was a German laborer and until recently a hard-working man, but of late he has been very violent and has developed a decided propensity for fighting. His in sane ideas and violent moods have been causing his friends a great deal of trouble. He is 45 years of age and has been residing at the corner of Hington and Willow Streets.

John Brennan, an employe at the powerhouse of the Front Street Cable Company made a misstep last July and fell through an opening into the revolving sheave wheels, which instantly whirled him into eternity, and yesterday Mary E Brennan, his widow, brought suit against the cable company for $25,000 damages alleging that her husband’s death was attributable to carelessness and negligence on the part of the company for allowing the place through which he fell to be kept open.

    2. Dear Seattle Friends, Is there anyone who could take a photo of a gravestone and send it to me. I live too far away and it would be too expensive and time consuming to make the trip for a photo of a gravestone.. The person died in 1959 and is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery. He had a house in Bellevue that I remember. His mother, Evelyn Paine, was also from Renton, and she died. All I have is my remebrance of these Batchelors and info from SSDI. In a obit from Ashton, Illinois, I found an Alfred Batchelor who was survivor of his father, Albert, who was married in 1902. I would like to know if that Alfred is my grandfather. Does anyone have more info on these Alberts and/or Alfreds.

Mr. Hardin is a well-known young attorney of this city. The bride is a descendant of the famous Henry Clay of Kentucky, and is a most estimable lady. She has recently returned from Europe, where she completed her musical education.
