    1. PRICE, Seattle
    2. diane
    3. I am interested in any information at all on the following family. Stephen PRICE was my grandmother's eldest brother. Stephen PRICE, b. Herefordshire, England l879 married in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales in l903 to Edith THOMAS, b. Wales, 1883 Parents to: Olive PRICE (born Dowlais, Wales, l904) Howard PRICE (b. Wisconsin, l9l5) Edith G. PRICE (b. Wisconsin, l9l8) Dorothy PRICE (b. Wisconsin, l9l9) Mildred Lois PRICE (b. Seattle l924) Arthur Stanley PRICE (b. Seattle 1928) Stephen emigrated to Canada in l9l3 to work for the Metropolitan Church Association. Having lived in Waukesha for some years he was posted to Seattle, USA, to pastor a group of families who had settled there. I have found Stephen on the l920 Census for Waukesha and also on the l930 Census for Seattle, however Olive, his daughter - who would have been 27 by then - was missing. Perhaps she was married? All I know is that Olive died in l934, the same year that her little sister Dorothy died. I do not know where they are buried. I am told Stephen died in l946 and Edith in l969. Again, I have no further details. I believe Lois married a RALSTON and moved to California and Edith married a PALMER. I found a death reference for a Howard L. PRICE in Seattle, l8th June l998 with a birth date in l9l5 so this would match. If anyone is able to assist with any further information I would be delighted to hear from you. When Stephen emigrated he took with him his little sister, Mary Jane PRICE (b. Dowlais 1895), my grandmother's "most beloved sister". They were never to meet again. Mary Jane also worked for the Metropolitan Church Association and married a Rev. Ray SPOORS late in life in l954 and she died in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in l973. Unknown where she is buried. I have a very old photograph of a PRICE gentleman, complete with minister's collar however it is unnamed and I would dearly love to find one of Stephen's descendants so that they can identify it for me. With kind regards Diane Johansen Surrey, England, UK
