I have Ancestry access, so looking for kind soul to look up in person???? Evelyn J. Scouler (probably married name) Washington Death Index, 1940-1996 Record Name: Evelyn J Scouler Place of Death: Seattle Date of Death: 08 Jun 1981 Residence: Seattle Age: 75 years Gender: F SSN: 533-34-6318 Certificate: 013630 Social Security Death Index Record Name: Evelyn Scouler SSN: 533-34-6318 Last Residence: 98125 Seattle, King, Washington, United States of America Born: 3 Jun 1906 Died: Jun 1981 State (Year) SSN issued: Washington (1953-1954 ) San Francisco Passenger Lists Record Name: Evelyn Scouler Arrival Date: Jun 1951 Age: 45 years Estimated Birth Year: abt 1906 Gender: Female Port of Departure: Honolulu, Hawaii Ship Name: Lurline Port of Arrival: San Francisco Birthplace: Duluth, Minnesota Microfilm Roll Number: 417 Page: 122 She is listed in the SF passenger list with "Bert Scouler", age 62, born in San Francisco, CA. Evelyn is listed as being born in Duluth, MN. I am researching Benjamin Elbert Scouler, who was known as "Bert". He was born 19 Feb, 1889, d. 29 Nov., 1954 in Fergus Co., MT. I would like to know if Evelyn was married to B.E. Scouler, in so when, where, etc. I suspect that the trip to Hawaii was a honeymoon???? He had been married previously (1910), divorcing about 1922 in CA. Could anyone find answers to these questions? 1) Was Evelyn married to B.E.Scouler? 2) When/where? 3) Did the marriage end with B.E.Scouler's death or divorce? 4) Any children? 5) Where is Evelyn buried? Is B/E/ Scouler buried with her? 6) What was Evelyn's maiden name & history? 7) If not married - were they related and how? 8) If married, why/how did B.E. Scouler die in MT? Very few Scoulers there at that time, most related somehow. My guess is married since 2 Scoulers on same ship from Hawaii at same time indicated a relationship. She is not a child from his first marriage. It is highly doubtful that he had a child before his first marriage for her to be daughter or daughter-in-law (and a trip to Hawaii in 1950s isn't that kind of trip!). I have lots on the Scouler family and descendants from B.E. Scouler's first marriage. I have census, etc. Would anyone be willing to look up an obit (Evelyn in June 1981, "Bert" in Nov. 1954), death certificate, cemetery record, marriage about June 1951 (or before). Many thanks for any info available!

More than wonderful. You have handed me my family, in good part! Thank you so much! And though I knew Nils Bernard had been born in Motala, I didn't really know what 'county' (?) it was in - this is truly a big breakthrough. I was recently mailed a photo of Nils' grandfather and his wife - that Nils was born in 1774! Your addition will certainly go on the CDs I'm burning for the family in Sweden. Thanks so much for your research and thoughtfulness. Best wishes Carol Markillie California

The US Postal Service finds the address if you call it an AVENUE, not a STREET, and so does any map program. You can see the building at 6737 24th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98117 using GoogleMap: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=6737+24th+Ave+NW,+Seattle,+WA+98117&ll=47.678403,-122.387679&spn=0.000887,0.003369&t=h It looks like a business or large building. Often, "½" addresses are added-on apartments or rooms in the rear. The USPS lookup URL is http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp just put in the street address and zip code Try sending a letter to "owner" at the listed address, asking if there is or was a "half" unit on the property, etc. There's a 75yo Edward B POWELL in Seatac WA, but you'll have to pay $10, it appears, for the info. Shows up after a whitepages.com search.
In my step-grandfather's obituary-Garnet Brown in 1954, it states that his sister, Annie Ramsey is living in Bellingham, Washington. I am not sure if that is part of King Co. or not. I don't remember and couldn't find her husband's name but it seems to me he may have been a doctor. Annie was born Ann Victoria Brown in Northumberland, Ontario to David Brown and Minnie Truax. She was born April 21, 1871. Anyone who can help me with Annie's husband's name or her death date and place, it would be really appreciated. Pat Morano
