Hello - I'm hoping that some kind list member will be able to locate an obit or other information about a Catherine A. PACKWOOD who died Dec. 29, 1988 in Seattle. If I'm really lucky, she was the wife/widow of Wesley R. PACKWOOD - and the mother of daughters Genevive and Virginia - and perhaps other children. Wesley's mother ( who was a sister to my grandmother) died when her children were very young, and it has been most difficult to trace them at all If I'm not so lucky, I will have at least eliminated a possibility! With thanks in advance for any help on this, Kaye Steward Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The first is a photograph of Y. C. BLALOCK which was taken at the McKinney Studio in Walla Walla, Washington. The photograph was likely taken in the early 1900's with Mr. BLALOCK appearing to be in his 40's at the time it was taken. The second photograph is identified as Phoebe BLALOCK. This second photograph was not taken in a studio; however, she appears to be about 4 years old at the time it was taken, likely in the 1890's or early 1900's. Based on limited research and thanks to the assistance of a BLALOCK Family Researcher I believe that these are photographs of Yancey Crawford BLALOCK M. D. and his daughter Phoebe Irene BLALOCK. Yancey was b. 3 Aug 1859 in Spruce Pine, NC, the son of Dr. Nelson Gales BLALOCK (son of Jesse BLALOCK and Ura LIPPS).
