Compiler's comment: not beneficial enough, I figure. The compiler suspects that this is he: Twelfth Michigan Infantry page 507-511 Brower, George W. Company E. Enlisted at Marshall, March 21, 1865. If someone has a record of who his birthmother is -- it is NOT Rachael HAIGHT Brower, but his father is Aaron Brower (1807-1872, died Bronson, Branch County, MI)

    1. Re: 1947 Sunset Club
    2. While I don't know this club or any of the people, it is interesting to note that two of the names jump out immediately. Ballinger Rd runs north from Lake Washington at least to the county line. And the Stimsons are one of the big logging families. I even had one of their kids in my class back when I was teaching. Some of you who have lived here can probably make other associations of the names, even if you don't know the people. 1. Ernest Meier Band and Symphony Seattle
    2. Cecelia
    3. I have found a letter, in German, dated Nov. 8, 1920. The letterhead says: Band and orchestra musicians Up-To-Date Repertoir Furnished for all occasions Neat Uniforms Meier's Band and Orchestra Ernest Meier manager and director Address: 1315 Spring Street Telephone: Main 19?6 Seattle, Washington There is a photo on the left of a man in a band uniform. This was among old family pictures, newspapers, clippings, cards, etc. I don't have any idea what it says since I don't know how to read or speak German. Hopefully, someone will let me know what it says, soon, as I have asked someone to look at it. They offered to try to translate the letter for me. I suspect that this was a letter to my great-grandparents, Emil Conitz, and his wife, Louise Meier who lived in Calvert, Texas. I'm sure that I heard the name, Ernest Meier and something about a band from my great-aunt, whose parents were Emil and Louise. But that was years ago. I did a Google search for the band and for Ernest Meier, but I haven't found anything. I wondered if anyone might have some information about this band and these Meiers. I do have a little information about the Meiers who were related to my great-grandmother and some of her related Meiers who settled in Texas. Thanks for any information. Cecelia in Texas
