I am in Canada and need some help trying to find evidence of her and the family line in Scotland. Her name was Emma Wagstaff Griffin. She lived in the highlands with her parents and three brothers until she was 12. She spoke only Gaelic. After her mothers death, her father sent her to live with an Aunt near Glasgow. She became a war bride in 1942 and had two children by a Canadian William Victor Gibb.(My Grandfather is also an enigma) William (1945 in Glasgow)and Marion(1942 in Edinborough). They immigrated to Canada in 1945 and I have a ship 053 listed. Even though I have birth places and marriage and travel dates, I have had no luck.
